The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR function for all dental and support offices in Oregon and Washington. This position is heavy on employee relations in a multi-site environment as the Human Resources Manager partners with Operations leadership and HR colleagues to develop strategies and support to meet the HR needs of the organization in the short and long term.
In total, this position supports 75 offices in Oregon and Washington and can be based out of our support center office in Vancouver, WA or Salem, OR.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business units being supported and manage all employee relations issues throughout the region
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, directors and executives
- Support Regional Vice President and Director of Operations in implementing performance improvement strategies
- Work with Operations leadership regarding regional development needs
- Coach leadership on performance management, behavioral issues, policy interpretations and terminations to minimize legal exposure
- Facilitate and mediate interventions in order to resolve conflict
- Lead change management projects and manage HR related communications
- Develop and deliver HR related training
- Provide direction and leadership on employee recognition programs
- Facilitate talent review and succession planning process
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws governing employment
- Conduct investigations to resolve complaints of harassment, discrimination or retaliation
- Review and approve disciplinary actions to ensure fairness and consistency
- Partner with leaders to plan workforce reductions, including selection process and communication
- Communicate with legal counsel as necessary, may appear at legal proceedings on behalf of the Company
- Participate in departmental planning; goals, budget review, system upgrades and/or implementation
- Evaluate reports, decisions and results of initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and efficient operations
- Other duties as may be assigned or modified as business needs dictate
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or HR certification are preferred
- At least seven years of HR experience, preferably in a multi-site, cross functional business unit
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
