The InterDigital AI Lab in Silicon Valley is looking for motivated Ph.D. students for internships in AI/ML applied to Wireless Communications.
The AI Lab works on novel applications of AI and ML for video and wireless applications. You will develop proof-of-concepts, prototypes and research ideas that tie machine learning and AI technologies with a broad range of signal processing and wireless technologies and will publish your work in leading conferences.

- Formulating and solving non-convex, stochastic, and combinatorial optimization problems.
- Pushing state of the art in AI/ML for signal processing and wireless communication.
- Research and design of ML algorithms that will be at the core of next generation (6G) wireless communication systems.
- Deep learning and optimization methods for channel modelling and parameter estimation.
- Generative models for temporally and spatially consistent wireless data.
- Methods to measure and improve model generalization.
- Interoperability of independently trained neural networks.
- Ph.D. student in EE, Computer Science, Statistics, or relevant discipline.
- Publications or research and development experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, deep learning, data mining, optimization.
- Strong background in wireless communication and/or signal processing is highly desired.
- Hands on experience with ML frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow.
