WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
Lead showroom design projects from concept through installation, aligning with the brand narrative and business goals.Conduct furniture needs analyses and identify spaces requiring updates or renovations.Develop and execute a rotating product strategy and annual showroom update cadenceDesign interiors that reflect future-focused workplace and consumer trends, incorporating furniture, AV, Architectural Solutions, color palettes, and materiality.Create schematic designs, design development documentation, and detailed installation plans, including drawings, specifications, and details that clearly articulate design intent.Specify colors, materials, finishes, and products needed for construction, furniture, and audio-visual applications.Manage showroom budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with project goals.Prepare installation drawings and participate in pre- and post-install meetings.Establish styling and artwork point-of-view, selection, and sourcing with a hospitality-driven perspectiveCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including design management, marketing, IT, facilities, sales, and external design resources, to create cohesive and impactful spaces.Work with the marketing team on graphic design and editorial to deliver compelling brand narratives that result in spaces rich in stories and detail.WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE :
7 years of experience in showroom design, workplace strategy, or related fields.Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent.Ability to travel occasionally to support multiple Midwest marketplaces.Strong knowledge of interior commercial construction, architecture, design, real estate, and contract furnishings.In-depth product knowledge and application, including experience with Herman Miller and Knoll products.Proven ability to manage budgets and produce detailed design documentation.Team collaboration skills and ability to take multiple opinions into account in a rapidly changing environment.Understanding of consumer and workplace trends, styling, and material sourcing.Proficiency in AutoCAD, CET, CAP, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and commercial furniture industry software; willingness to learn new systems.Commitment to maintain relevant industry certifications.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage multiple perspectives.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Team leadership experience and a passion for building and nurturing design product learningEnthusiasm for delivering innovative, forward-thinking design solutions.Ability to build and nurture relationships with vendors and industry partners.Physical Requirements : While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. The hiring compensation range for this position is a base salary of $65,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
