Overview
The Cost Analyst Supervisor is accountable and responsible for accurate and timely processing, audit, documentation, vendor communication and payment management of all network cost accounts assigned. The Cost Analyst works under and adheres to Company standards, policies and procedures. Attention to detail in this role is extremely important.
Responsibilities
Process service tickets.
Track the number of tickets to be processed.
Track number of tickets processed by each team member.
Assign emails in the Cost Analysis folder.
Review any billing disputes by customers and communicate finding.
Comprehensive and thorough review, audit and payment approval processing for all assigned vendor invoices within 3 business days of invoice date
Identify, document and resolve all discrepancies including overtime charges, pricing, materials, and other ancillary charges prior to authorizing payment to vendor.
Submit timely, well documented disputes to vendor for erroneous billing via the standardize dispute process.
Document, track and follow up on all submitted disputes with vendor to ensure timely resolution and associated follow through to invoice adjustments.
Maintain comprehensive tracking and documentation of disputed amounts for each vendor account via the detailed dispute tracking log.
Proactively review, audit and resolve all outstanding balances on accounts including requesting required copies of invoices from vendor and performing internal research in billing, provisioning and engineering systems
Document all associated research and communication with vendor in resolving disputed balances in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role
Experience in data, operational and financial analysis
Knowledge of accounting processes and software
Strong analytical skills
Great attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
High school diploma required, degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field preferred
Experience leading a team
