What You'll Do:
In the Site Supervisor role, you’ll oversee shelters within the North County Inland region. Responsible for grant compliance, supervises staff, and performs related work as required, supporting the mission of Interfaith Community Services.
- Supervise Veterans Transitional Housing program, under the general direction of the Program Manager
- Supervise residential staff and programmatic activities including client conduct and accountability, incident reporting, facilities maintenance requests, staff training and follow-up for grant requirements; may perform other duties as directed by Program Manager and/or Director
- Complete intake screenings, track referrals and work in collaboration with VA Liaisons/internal/external partners.
- Provide leadership to the program staff, interns and volunteers; conducts meetings and trainings to ensure program compliance and to enhance staff skills.
- Assigns, coordinates, delegates and supervises work methods for efficiency and safety
- Attend and participates in program, agency and community meetings and trainings as needed in person and virtually as required.
- Ability to work independently and professionally with departments within the agency, partner agencies, faith centers and other community settings to best meet the needs of clients
- Provide monthly/quarterly/annual reports as scheduled to Program Manager and/or the Director as required
- Monitor internal client databases and Coordinated Entry System ensuring timely and correct data input
- Supervise staff, participate in hiring and conducting performance evaluations and provides resources and support
- Accurately records all emergencies, disciplinary, and other events that occur within programs or staff. Immediately reports medical emergencies to the appropriate agencies/organizations; administers First Aid/CPR and follow agency protocol and standard procedures in emergency situations
- Coordinates utilities checks, fire drills and other checks/repairs as needed or required to maintain facility compliance with Federal, State and Local inspections
- Monitors and reports client activity and overall program progress to Program Manager
- Monitor and conduct client intakes to shelters as needed
- Provide case management services as needed
- Handles difficult crisis situations and resolve any issues that arise
- Ability to receive calls after hours to problem solve with staff, Program Manager and/or Director.
- Performs wellness checks on residents as needed or required
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Who You Are:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory role or increasing responsibility, required
- Experience working in the nonprofit, social services sector, required
- Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Company’s insurance carrier standards.
SKILLSET/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of “Housing First” strategies and low-barrier/low-demand model
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients
- Ability to identify problems, and research and recommend solutions
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple deadlines and working effectively under pressure, using independent judgment to complete work under time constraints
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple staff, and working with a collaborative team to drive successful projects to completion
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate effectively among a diverse workforce population and maintain sound working relations with all levels within the organization
- Work with spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation and a sense of urgency
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality over all matters in the course of business operations including client and employee information
- Ability to multi-task in an efficient, thorough, and prioritized manner
- Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently
- Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize work and solve problems
- Must successfully pass a criminal background and exclusion/disbarment check,
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, tuberculosis test, and drug screen

Location: Onsite/Escondido and Oceanside
Hourly Rate: $23.00-$25.00
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm
