Description: Under the general direction of the Outreach and Partnerships Manager, the Community Outreach Coordinator serves as a key member of the Outreach and Partnerships Department. The position is responsible for initiating and building strategic and trusting relationships with community partners to support the mission and work of ICS. As a member of the Outreach and Partnerships Department, this role will assist in outreach activities to raise ICS awareness, volunteerism, and support.
Interfaith Community Services (ICS) exists to help individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and lead healthy and independent lives. The organization provides a wide range of programs to help hungry, low-income, and under-employed people move from crisis to stability, and to support older and disabled adults in living independently and aging in place in their homes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Initiate and develop strategic relationships with community partner organizations and faith communities.
· Cultivate support such as in-kind donations, financial giving (fundraising) and volunteers from community partners and faith communities.
· Partner with assigned faith communities to develop specific initiatives based on ICS’ programs and services.
· Participant in activities that ensure a major presence in front of faith communities and other key community groups on behalf of ICS to develop understanding and support for ICS through persistent personal contacts with clergy and others in congregational and community settings.
· Conduct presentations and tabling events in the community and at faith communities.
· Serve as a member of the ICS outreach team as a thought partner and creative catalyst for teamwork, and innovation in business.
· Provide accurate and timely information to ICS leadership to keep them fully informed about partnership development and outcomes.
Additional Duties:
· Participate in agency meetings including but not limited to staff meetings.
· Serve as a representative of ICS for projects, events, and/or coalitions as requested.
· Support the mission of the organization by participating in communications, fundraising, public speaking, and advocacy activities as needed.
· Other assignments as directed by or under the supervision of the Outreach and Partnerships Manager.
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally to the agency.
· Skill in forward thinking and ability to identify problems or issues and develop effective solutions, resolve complex problems, and gain cooperation among interested groups.
· Ability to lead others to common goals and to work cooperatively with other employees, volunteers and community partners.

· Strong communication and people skills, to include experience with public speaking. Ability to be clear and concise in written and verbal communications.
· Computer and technological skills necessary to write reports, maintain correspondence, develop program materials, enter and retrieve information on a database or spreadsheet, develop and use PowerPoint presentations, and use agency email.
· Awareness of and sensitivity to the diverse needs of our staff, clients, volunteers, interfaith activities, faith community partners, and the community-at-large.
· Understanding of faith community culture and ability to relate to faith leaders and members of diverse faiths, without proselytizing.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree with experience in community outreach, fundraising and/or sales preferred.
· Bi-lingual (Spanish) is required.

Supervises: None
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, must be available evening/ weekend hours.
FLSA exemption status: Exempt
