What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Interfuse Manufacturing?
Job Summary
Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. This is a 2nd shift position with a 10 hour work day schedule, M-Thur (3:00 pm - 1:00 am). Willing to train candidates interested in the trade.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Sets-up mills or lathes by installing proper tooling per work order request.
- Loads and unloads parts accounting for parts upon completion.
- Verifies settings and proper operation by confirming first piece part inspection; adhering to internal standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing operation of machine, takes measurements, detects malfunctions, and adjusts programs as appropriate.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and assisting with repairs as necessary.
- Completes proper paperwork and final inspection of parts before moving to the next process.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Ability to use measurement tools including tape measure and calipers.
- Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot.
