We are seeking a Front Desk Medical Assistant (FD/MA) to join our team at Integrated Pain Management (IPM) in Lombard, IL. This role is critical in ensuring efficient patient reception, administrative support, and clinical assistance. The FD/MA will act as a liaison between patients and providers, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 6 months in a similar role.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required (uncertified candidates with experience are encouraged to apply).

The position operates Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 AM, typically ending at 4:30 PM, with occasional late days extending until 6:00 PM.

Patient Reception and Administration
- Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Accurately verify patient information and insurance details.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments.
- Address billing inquiries and process payments.
Clinical Support
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
- Accurately take and record vital signs.
- Assist providers with medical procedures.
- Perform basic diagnostic tests as needed.
Patient Care and Education
- Provide high-quality patient education regarding procedures and care.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients.
Documentation and Records Management
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Prepare and organize patient charts.
- Complete forms related to worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
Care Coordination
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers.
- Follow up on referrals and external medical records.
- Contribute to case management and care planning.
Specialized Tasks
- Support in managing worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
- Assist with occupational health assessments and documentation.
Communication and Coordination
- Facilitate effective communication between staff and providers.
- Act as a liaison to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Training and Development
- Participate in ongoing training sessions.
- Assist in training new FD/MA staff.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide feedback to improve office procedures.
