Your Role as a Home Health Occupational Therapist
- Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to illness or injury
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary home health team to develop and implement patient plans of care
- Assess patient deficits, establish therapy goals, and document progress
- Develop and implement exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination
- Evaluate patient needs and recommend adaptive equipment to enhance support
- Conduct fall risk assessments and introduce strategies to improve home safety
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and self-care
Requirements for Success as a Home Health Occupational Therapist
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OT license in Michigan
- Minimum [#] years of occupational therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and compassion
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
