Business Development Representative-Home Care & Medical Staffing
in St. Louis, MO
General Purpose: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies for both medical staffing and home care referral sources, while increasing profitable revenues. This position will require you to establish and maintain key relationships, generate new business, and promote staffing solutions to a wide range of clients, including hospitals, senior facilities, insurance companies, and more.
Essential Functions:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and referral sources for both home care and medical staffing services. Key targets include senior residential facilities, long-term care insurance providers, worker’s compensation companies, hospitals, rehab centers, elder law attorneys, financial planners, hospice organizations, and Medicare home health agencies.
- Develop and execute a targeted account sales plan to ensure market coverage and achieve a strong return on investment.
- Conduct impactful presentations regarding Interim HealthCare’s medical staffing and home care services to organizations and prospective clients.
- Utilize a contact management system to track and report weekly sales activities, monitor account development, and plan next steps. Regularly review sales progress and activity with your supervisor.
- Complete sales/marketing assignments as needed to contribute to the growth of the business.
- Potential access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill job duties, in accordance with organizational policies.
- Maintain knowledge of current regulations and trends in the home care and medical staffing industries.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience and training.
- At least 2 years of successful sales experience, preferably within home care, medical staffing, or similar industries.
- Home care experience is preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for preparing sales presentations and reports.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel locally and maintain a consistent call schedule.
- Available for on-call rotation with admin team.
