Bereavement Coordinator in Hospice Care
We are seeking a compassionate Bereavement Coordinator to provide emotional support and grief counseling to families and individuals coping with loss.
About the Role
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will plan, organize, and deliver bereavement services tailored to our patients' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one grief counseling and support to families, caregivers, and others affected by loss.
- Plan and facilitate grief support groups for individuals and families.
- Offer follow-up services to families during the bereavement process and assess their needs.
- Develop and distribute bereavement resources and materials to families and the community.
- Maintain accurate records of bereavement services provided and ensure compliance with hospice regulations.
Requirements
- Certification in Grief Counseling or related certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in bereavement, grief counseling, or hospice care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of grief and loss theory, as well as counseling techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
