School Based Personal Care Aide (PCA)
About the Role:
Caring for students with special needs in Scranton, Dunmore, Carbondale, Moscow, and Mountain Top, PA
Job Details:
- $22 per hour
- $50 quarterly bonuses (up to $200 annually)
- Transportation and mandatory in-services at $18 per hour
We are seeking a School Based Personal Care Aide (PCA) to work with physically/mentally disabled children 1:1, ages 4 through 21, providing support for autistic, emotional, multi-disability, and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping the client on task in a classroom setting
- Redirect when necessary in the case of disruption
- Assist with bathroom duties, if needed
- Evaluate and report changes in the client's condition
- Perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six (6) months experience in relative field; behavioral health, pediatrics, etc.
- CPR and First Aid Certificate; preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to undergo Pre-Employment Screenings
