Job Description
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Interim HealthCare of NEPA, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. This critical role requires empathy, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
• Assist with daily living activities, such as ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
• Monitor resident health and notify supervisors of any changes or concerns
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care and progress
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience working with intellectually and physically disabled individuals preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• CPR and First Aid certification required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Office of Developmental Program (ODP) regulations and guidelines
• Previous experience working in group homes or similar settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
