Bereavement Coordinator for Hospice Services
Based in Topeka, Kansas and surrounding areas
We are seeking a compassionate Bereavement Coordinator to provide emotional support and grief counseling to families and individuals coping with the loss of a loved one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and deliver bereavement services tailored to individual needs
- Provide one-on-one grief counseling and support to families, caregivers and others affected by death
- Facilitate grief support groups and offer follow-up services during the bereavement process
- Maintain accurate records of bereavement services provided and ensure compliance with hospice regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care
Requirements:
- Certification in Grief Counseling or related certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in bereavement, grief counseling or hospice care
- Demonstrated knowledge of grief and loss theory, as well as counseling techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently, manage caseloads and maintain detailed documentation
