Job Responsibilities
- Care for patients' personal and hygiene needs in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, LPNs, and aides to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Assist with daily tasks like bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake.
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
- Monitor vital signs, measure intake/output, check blood glucose levels, and document any changes.
- Observe patients and notify supervisors of issues requiring changes in care, medication, or equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Michigan
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Compassionate nature, effective communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
