As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your role will involve:
- Providing personal care and hygiene support to patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals
- Collaborating with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs, and aides to deliver exceptional patient care
- Assisting with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
- Supporting ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitoring vitals, measuring intake/output, tracking blood glucose, and documenting changes
- Observing patient condition and notifying supervisors of issues requiring care adjustments, medication, or equipment changes
Key requirements for CNAs:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Michigan
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Compassionate nature, effective communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
