Job Responsibilities
- Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor patient vitals, measure intake/output, and document any changes
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 6 months of previous adult caregiving experience or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- A compassionate nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
