Responsibilities
- Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals
- Work collaboratively with physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care
- Assist with daily needs, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor vital signs, measure intake/output, and document any changes in patient condition
- Observe patient behavior and notify supervisors of issues requiring changes in care, medication, or equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 6 months of previous adult caregiving experience or completion of a CNA course (must provide professional references or certificate of completion)
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Compassionate nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
