Interim HealthCare is looking for compassionate, dedicated caregivers looking for a rewarding career as a Personal Home Care Aides (HCA). Interim HealthCare is a pioneer in the home care industry and is seeking caring individuals for our Private Duty client with available assignments in the Peoria area. Essential Functions:
- Performs personal care activities that are assisting the client with daily living which include:
- Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or continence care, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin and hair)
- Ambulation and transferring (assist client with safety as they get out of bed, sit, stand, or walk)
- Assist with eating and meal preparation
- Dressing
- Performs client-specific activities such as:
- Brain fitness including dementia support
- Life enrichment, such as gardening, doing puzzles, reading
- Assisting with or encouraging range of motion exercises
- Assisting with disease specific documentation, observations and report to supervisor
- Transportation
- Performs homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): light vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.
Job Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Twelve (12) months of accumulated experience in a similar job classification or similar life experience
- Clean background checks
- Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance
- CPR Certified
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must possess strong transferring skills and be able to work with limited mobility cases
- Ability to cook
