What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Care Aide position at Interim HealthCare Personal Care and Support?
Caregiver/Home Health Aide (HHA)
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client's condition, perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, and provide incidental/instrumental activities of daily living to clients in their home setting. This is evaluated and delegated based on the policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Job Duties for Caregivers:
- Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship
- Help with ambulation, transferring, and range of motion exercises
- Remind clients to take medication, document their condition, and notify supervisors of any concerns
- Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
- Participate in activities that bring joy to clients, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies
Requirements:
- 6 months prior adult caregiving experience or completion of a CNA course/certificate
- 2 positive references
