Interim HealthCare® is hiring PCAs, CNAs, and DSPs to work Full-time (30-40 hours weekly) in the Richmond area. The required shift for this position is 2pm to 10pm.You MUST be able to work either shift as needed Monday to Friday and every other weekend. As a group home PCA /CNA / DSP, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, some transportation, and companionship
- Working with individuals to improve self-reliance
- Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
- Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
- Develop meaningful relationships and connections with clients to make them feel cared for and included in the community
- Follow all health and safety protocol
ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- a minimum of 6 months experience in a healthcare facility (experience caring for more 5-10 patients at once)
- Valid CPR certification from The American Red Cross or American Heart Association (no online course accepted)
- Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
