**About the Job**
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team! As an MRI Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body. You will work closely with radiologists and other medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
You will be responsible for screening patients before examination for any precautions or contradictions, preparing patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and positioning their body parts appropriately, performing MRI scans with minimal supervision, while providing patient support throughout the procedure, maintaining accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS), and maintaining a clean and safe working environment, promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Screen patients before examination for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the examination
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure, and positioning patient's body parts appropriately
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body used by physicians to diagnose and treat a patient's illness/injury with minimal supervision while providing patient support throughout the procedure
- Maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with radiology team, follow physician instructions precisely, and accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Maintain a clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers, and maintain equipment in good working order, clean and disinfect after each use
Requirements
- ARRT certification, current and in good standing
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Experience and comfort utilizing MRI equipment/techniques, experience with Siemens or Hitachi scanners preferred
- Bilingual preferred but not required
