This per diem position would be ideal for someone looking for flexible scheduling, typically day shifts Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend or on-call needs.
Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive health assessments, medication management, and overall health status monitoring for residents in an assisted living/ memory care facility.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) or Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) during shifts.
- Deliver health education to residents and their families on topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols and providing immediate care when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
Requirements:
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
