Job Overview: Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As a member of our Community Staffing team, you will support assisted living/memory care communities throughout the Cambridge area.
This per diem role offers flexibility in scheduling, with mostly day shift hours on weekdays, although occasional weekend or on-call needs may arise. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, manage medications, and monitor overall health status for residents in assisted living/memory care facilities.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)/Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) during shifts.
- Provide health education to residents and their families on topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinate and communicate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, nursing staff, and other team members to maintain a cohesive and supportive care environment.
- Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.
Requirements:
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Willingness and flexibility to cover on-call needs over the phone.
