About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in supporting assisted living and memory care communities throughout the Twin Cities metro area. As a per diem RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents.
Responsibilities
- Case Management: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, manage medications, and monitor overall health status for residents in assisted living and memory care facilities.
- Supervision: Oversee Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) on your shift.
- Health Education: Provide education to residents and their families on disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure holistic care for residents.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
- Timely Communication: Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.
Requirements
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
