Job Description:
This is a per diem nursing position that requires a compassionate and skilled RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to seniors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, medication management, and overall health status monitoring for residents in assisted living/memory care facilities.
- Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)/Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) on your shift.
- Provide health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.
Requirements:
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.
