About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Per Diem Healthcare Practitioner. The successful candidate will support assisted living and memory care communities throughout the Mankato area, providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the health needs of residents in assisted living and memory care facilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Supervise CNAs/PCAs on assigned shifts to ensure quality care is provided.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.
Requirements:
- RN Degree: Possess a degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- RN License: Hold a current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Geriatric Experience: Have previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical Thinking: Possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to cover on-call needs over the phone.
