About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Community Staffing team at Interim HealthCare. As an RN with our company, you will have the opportunity to work in assisted living/memory care communities throughout the Cambridge area, supporting the health and well-being of our senior residents. Your responsibilities will include case management, supervising CNA's/PCA's, providing health education, and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Case Management: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, manage medications, and monitor overall health status of residents
- Supervising CNA's/PCA's: Ensure that residents receive high-quality care and support
- Health Education: Provide education on disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices to residents and their families
- Coordination: Work with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents
- Medical Emergencies: Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies, following established protocols
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care
Requirements
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
