Job Summary
We are seeking a Trained Medication Aide to join our team in the Twin Cities Metro area. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely administering prescribed medications to patients, assisting with patient care, and monitoring resident responses to medication.
Responsibilities
- Safely administer prescribed medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor residents' responses to medication and report any concerns or changes.
- Ensure medication storage and handling comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records.
Requirements
- Must have a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) certification with a diploma verifying a minimum of 48 hours of training.
- Current CNA registry with the state of MN.
- One year of experience working in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and ability to chart effectively.
