As an Assistant Director of Nursing/RN - Hospice, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Oversee the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring the highest quality of patient/client care in accordance with Hospice laws and regulatory standards
- Coordinate and manage a team of nurses, therapists, CNAs, aides, chaplains and social workers to ensure client and patient standards are met.
- Hire, orient, train, supervise and retain qualified clinicians, supportive services and caregivers
- Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered and staff are trained on care procedures
- Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of satisfaction
- Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care
- Participate and help lead interdisciplinary meetings of the Hospice team and coordination of cares
A few must-haves for an Assistant Director of Nursing/RN - Hospice:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN or BSN license in WI
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Hospice
- At least 1 year of supervisory and caregiver management experience
- CPR certification
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal Hospice laws and regulatory standards
- Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
