Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Interim HealthCare Staffing. As an LVN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries, and diseases under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, RNs, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.
- Take patient vital signs, conduct assessments, document progress, and report changes to the RN supervisor.
- Assist the RN in carrying out physician orders, patient care, and prescribed treatments.
- Administer medication, operate medical equipment, and maintain a safe environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful as an LVN, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited vocational nursing program and an active LVN license in California.
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- The ability to pass a pre-hire physical examination, TB test, background check, and drug screen.
- The capacity to lift at least 35 pounds.
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, effective communication, and compassion.
