Interim HealthCare is a local leader in Health Care and we are seeking a dynamic, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work as the Director of Nursing (DON) in the specialty area of Home Health (Home Care). We have been an active business partner in the Pueblo community for over 40 years and we are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) that is a proven leader to work as the Director of Nursing (DON) for our thriving home care agency. The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible to ensure efficient and effective delivery of clinical and paraprofessional services in accordance with Interim HealthCare’s core values and applicable laws and regulations. As a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse (RN), here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do : Provide leadership to the staff for care of the patient and family unit. Develop and motivate the clinical and paraprofessional teams. Identify opportunities to improve the quality of patient care or client services, formulate and implement an action plan and evaluate results. Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Understand current trends and advancements in the delivery of care in the home. Work with the Administrator to develop processes and execute training to successfully implement changes in patient care or client service practices. A few must-haves for a Director of Nursing (DON) - Registered Nurse (RN) : Must hold a current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license credential. BSN preferred. Minimum of five (5) years medical management / supervisory experience preferred. Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) within the last seven (7) years, required. Current Home Health Care experience required. Current Health Care CPR certification. Working knowledge and experience of : PDGM, Medicare, Medicaid etc. Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid home care rules and regulations. Knowledge and experience with OASIS.
