We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team as a part-time/PRN position for home visits.
Job Summary
Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide in-home patient visits based on the patient's plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist. As a Physical Therapy Assistant with Interim HealthCare, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.
Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing in-home patient visits based on the patient's plan of care under the direction of a Physical Therapist
- Instructing and aiding patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
- Observing, recording, and reporting to the supervising provider, the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition
- Educating the patient and family on how they can best participate, assist, and contribute to the patient's rehabilitation
Requirements
To qualify as a Physical Therapy Assistant with us, you must meet the following requirements:
- Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state associated with this position
- Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification
- Valid state-issued driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation; willingness to travel
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in a home health or similar setting
