Job Description:
As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with Interim HealthCare, you will play a vital role in a patient's restoration while enjoying the freedom and flexibility of ordering your own schedule.
With over 50 years of experience as a trusted provider of home-based speech therapy, we are currently seeking SLPs who are committed to providing exceptional patient care while reaping the benefits of work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide home-based speech therapy to patients experiencing communication, swallowing or cognitive difficulties due to an illness or injury
- Work collaboratively with a home health team, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, PTs, and OTs, to develop and implement patient plans of care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, document progress, and ensure patient goals are met
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, focusing on mouth, breathing, and swallowing exercises, fluency, articulation, and reading skills
- Educate patients and families on plan of care, therapy goals, safety practices, and self-care strategies
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology and active SLP license in Arizona
- Minimum of one year of speech therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare
- CPR Certification (demonstration course required)
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Card
- No Covid Vaccination Required
- Pass a background check and drug test (required by state law)
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassion
