LNG Plant Operator
Position:
The Interior Alaska Natural Gas Utility (IGU) is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of LNG Plant Operator. The position is based at the IGU liquefaction facility located at 25849 W. Ayrshire Road Big Lake, Alaska. Shift work is required. Training will be provided for the successful candidate. This position will report to the plant manager and will work closely with other plant personnel. IGU offers progress pay rates with benefits.
Qualifications:
- Moderate level of proficiency with computer software such as MS Office products
- Able to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a sound understanding of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and natural gas
- Perform equipment inspection/maintenance and complete records
- Become knowledgeable in plant operating procedures
- Learn and abide by all plant safety protocols
- Perform basic operations on LNG cargo trailers
- Recognize and respond to abnormal operating procedures
- Troubleshoot and assess equipment malfunctions
- Become qualified in all tasks pertaining to gas operator tier levels
