Overview:
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Field Manager to oversee residential flooring projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations in the field, maintaining subcontractor relationships, ensuring job site quality and safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of outcomes, and brings strong communication and leadership skills to the table.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities across multiple residential flooring projects.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion.
Perform pre-installation site inspections and post-installation walk-throughs.
Resolve on-site issues swiftly to minimize delays or customer dissatisfaction.
Ensure adherence to project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
Manage inventory and material delivery schedules in coordination with the warehouse and office staff.
Communicate daily with internal teams and customers regarding project timelines and updates.
Document progress with photos, notes, and updates in project management software.
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in residential flooring or related construction management.
Strong understanding of flooring products, installation methods, and job site protocols.
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple job sites and shifting priorities.
Proficient in using technology for job tracking, updates, and communication (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar).
Bonus if you have:
Experience working directly with homeowners or residential builders.
OSHA 10 or 30 Certification.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities.
Work Environment & Expectations:
Field-based role with regular travel to job sites.
Company vehicle and phone may be provided depending on the region.
Some weekend or after-hours availability may be required based on project needs.
