ABOUT THE JOB

Are you a skilled installer looking for a new challenge? Are you mechanically inclined; a jack of all trades? We're seeking someone with a keen eye for detail and a talent for efficiently assembling specialty storage products, including pallet racking, fixed shelving, and mobile storage systems, at our client's facilities. You'll be responsible for ensuring the timely completion of projects, all while delivering exceptional workmanship and exceeding customer expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Personal and Interpersonal Skills:

• Has the ability to understand and carry out directions from leads and field supervisors
• Is professional in appearance and manners
• Has good oral and written communication skills
• Has the physical strength and stamina required to lift and move furniture, boxes, and equipment
• Has a strong work ethic and very ethical approach to the business; is punctual and self-motivated
• Has the ability to travel, and work irregular hours or extended shifts when needed

Technical and Product Skills:

• Is mechanically adept and knows how to safely use tools and equipment
• Is capable and efficient in the assembly of storage-related solutions resulting in quality workmanship
• Is product knowledgeable across most major lines the dealership represents; understands most product specifications and descriptions; can identify basic terminology, part names, and product applications.
• Understands basic electricity and electrical component installation

Responsibility and Decision-Making Skills:

• Takes ownership of assignment results and details—follows through to assignment's finish
• Is responsible for other's property, including client's building, equipment, and furniture; is responsible for the companies’ tools, equipment, and vehicles

Customer Focus:

• Has strong customer service attitude and manner; communicates easily and clearly; is polite and cordial in all customer interactions
• Is highly responsive to customer requests
• Understands the customer satisfaction focus of the installation team and consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Able to travel and work occasional irregular hours or extended shifts when needed.
• Able to operate a bobtail or cube truck safely.
• Familiarity with material handling and logistical processes.
• Clean driving record. 
• Experience in driving a box truck. 
• Own a general good set of tools.
• Familiarity with architectural drawings and reading blueprints preferred.​
• Ability to list 70 lbs. on a consistent basis. ​
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. ​
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills. ​
• Time management and organizational skills. ​
• Ability to work under short lead-times and deadlines.​
• Ability to consistently handle difficult situations in a calm, professional manner with both clients and employees.  ​
• Basic analytical, problem-solving, systems-thinking and process improvement skills.​
• Honest, ethical, and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed.​
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, all levels of management, and staff members in written and verbal form.​
• Must be self-directing and able to adapt quickly to changing conditions.
