As a Granite Polisher, you will be responsible for the final finishing and polishing of granite and other stone surfaces to achieve a high-quality, polished appearance. Your meticulous attention to detail and expertise in polishing techniques will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of finished products. Essential Functions
- Perform polishing of granite and other stone surfaces using hand tools, polishing pads, and polishing machines.
- Inspect stone slabs for imperfections (e.g., scratches, chips, uneven surfaces) and take corrective measures to ensure flawless finishes.
- Apply polishing compounds, sealants, and other finishing materials to improve the appearance and durability of stone surfaces.
- Operate polishing machines safely and efficiently, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Work closely with fabrication team members to ensure polished surfaces meet both design and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the cleaning and upkeep of polishing equipment and tools.
- Monitor supplies, tools, and equipment; promptly report needs or issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Education & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in granite polishing or a similar role
- Demonstrated proficiency in polishing techniques and equipment operation
Preferred
- Vocational or technical training in stone fabrication or a related field
