Pool Service Technician
Summary/Objective: Under general supervision, the Pool Service Technician is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of residential and commercial pools, spas, and related equipment. This includes ensuring water quality, monitoring chemical levels, inspecting equipment functionality, and reporting any needed repairs. The technician will travel to assigned properties, complete checklists, and ensure all services are performed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Test and adjust water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.).
· Vacuum, brush, and skim pools and spas to maintain cleanliness.
· Backwash and clean pool filters as required.
· Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, heaters, timers, and other pool equipment.
· Identify and report any equipment or structural issues to supervisor.
· Safely handle and store pool chemicals according to safety guidelines.
· Maintain accurate service logs and documentation for each pool serviced.
· Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
· Drive company vehicle to service locations and manage time effectively.
· Communicate with property managers and residents professionally.
· Wear appropriate uniform and personal protective equipment.
· Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment: Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Exposure to water, pool chemicals, and mechanical equipment. Work may be physically demanding and requires attention to safety.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Requires bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for extended periods. May need to climb ladders, work near pool edges, and operate pool equipment safely.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on workload and weather. Occasional weekend work may be required.
Travel: Local travel to jobsites.
Required Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· At least 1 year of pool maintenance or related experience preferred.
· Valid FL Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
· CPO Certified
· Ability to work independently and follow a schedule.
· Familiarity with pool systems and chemical handling.
· Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
