We are seeking talented and experienced technical personnel to join our Automation Division!
The Senior Applications Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer requirements and developing large scale, complex automated systems to meet the customer's logistics, storage, and material handling needs. The Senior Applications Engineer is an integral member of the Robotics Sales team, supporting the Robotics Sales Representatives in providing solutions for our customers.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) solutions, including such equipment as stacker cranes, pallet shuttles, static and mobile racking, conveyors, and other material handling equipment necessary to meet customer requirements while providing a cost-competitive solution.
- Attend customer meetings assisting the sales team, provide project presentations, respond to customer’s questions and comments.
- Create proposal documents (quotes, BOM's, layouts, schedules, write-ups) that fully describe and define the solution.
- Compile, review, and process incoming information (e.g. leads) and specifications for new AS/RS projects.
- Review and integrate internal documents provided by other departments that support the AS/RS solution being developed.
- Interact extensively with external consultants, system integrators, installation contractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate the project handover with our Operations Department.

The qualified candidate possesses at least the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Five years of experience in design and build of capital equipment in the factory or warehouse automation industries.
- An understanding of logistics and warehousing processes is desired
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills with focus on providing a good customer service.
- Spanish fluency is valued.
