What are the responsibilities and job description for the SolidWorks Reverse Engineering Contractor position at InterLink Engineering LLC?
InterLink Engineering, LLC supports a wide variety of industries with a primary focus on product development, reverse engineering, and design for manufacturing support. Our capabilities allow us to support our customers by either performing engineering tasks at our facility or at our customer sites as required.
We are currently looking for multiple well-organized CAD Drafters with experience in reverse engineering using SolidWorks, especially involving sheet metal, 3D scanning, and documentation.
These opportunities are contractual for 2-3 months at our client’s location, with the possibility of extension, direct hire through the client, or continued work through InterLink, allowing for a variety of different industry and project experiences.
Contract Length : 2-3 months
Key Responsibilities :
- Reverse engineer various parts, including complex weldments and assemblies, utilizing 3D scans and Geomagic software when appropriate
- Produce accurate 3D SolidWorks models and 2D drawings for quoting or manufacturing use based on actual part geometry, ensuring revisions are correctly documented
- Ensure parts currently in use are updated to the correct revision number in the client’s Product Data Management (PDM) vault
- Additional project requirements completed as necessary
- Collaborate with a small team to divide, track, and complete workload efficiently
