Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Intellectual Property Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join their team in Tampa, Florida. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day patent and trademark prosecution dockets.
- Prepare and file documents with the USPTO, including office action responses.
- Conduct patentability and trademark searches and prepare clearance opinions/advice.
- Draft and negotiate IP transactional documents, including software license agreements.
- Provide IP due diligence support in M&A transactions.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and internal legal teams.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions.
- Admission to practice law in Florida.
- USPTO registration number or eligibility for the patent bar strongly preferred.
- Experience with IP due diligence and software agreements is a plus.
- Demonstrated practical judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
