We are working with a highly regarded law firm who are seeking a talented and motivated Attorney with experience in renewable energy and project finance to join their dynamic team.
As a Mid-Level Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients on a wide range of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hydroelectric, and other clean energy initiatives.
About You
- The firm welcome candidates from leading U.S. law firms or in-house roles who possess expertise in renewable energy transactions.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- The ideal candidate will become part of a team engaged in a diverse range of matters, with a focus on tax equity, M&A, and debt financing structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of project finance transactions, including debt and equity financing for renewable energy projects.
- Conduct due diligence and review project documents, including power purchase agreements (PPAs), financing agreements, and regulatory filings.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients on regulatory compliance, permitting, and other project development issues.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including finance, tax, and environmental professionals, to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
- Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments in the renewable energy industry and provide proactive advice to clients.
