The Medical Assistant Apprenticeship is an exciting collaboration between InterMed and Southern Maine Community College. This grant-funded, accelerated program will provide you with paid, on-the-job training and mastery of MA skills learned in the classroom. Participants will work part-time in one of our primary care practices while attending classes at SMCC, perform their externship hours, & prepare to take their certification exam upon completion of the program.
PREREQUISITES:
- At least 18 years of age and older
- High school diploma or GED
- Resident of Maine
- Proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability and willingness to provide excellent customer service to patients, InterMed colleagues and vendor
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Ability to work well in busy environment
SCHEDULE:
Part time work schedule at 20-24 hours per week plus required class schedule
