What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Systems Analyst position at InterMed?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Actively oversee, support and administration for multiple clinical applications.
- Investigate new clinical applications for use at InterMed.
- Assess and communicate the impact of new technology on clinical workflows.
- Participate as the clinical technical lead in pilots of new technology.
- Serve on project teams as the clinical technical lead to implement new applications.
- Maintain awareness of new regulatory, certification, version, modules, critical patches and functionality of clinical applications.
- Support the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of clinical applications and system interfaces.
- Provide technical support, liaising with application vendors and managed services as needed to resolve problems.
- Work with application vendors and IT managed service providers to execute patches, perform system upgrades, and maintenance.
- Create, customize, and/or maintain documents within each clinical application to improve the functionality.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to develop reports to improve clinical system operations.
- Assess operational impacts of new systems and work with Operations to modify workflows as necessary.
- Responsible for regular onboarding and training of staff in clinical applications including eClinical Works and Surgical Information Systems.
- Other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associates Degree combined with work experience required
- 2-3 years’ experience in an ambulatory care environment required
- 2-3 years’ experience with an EHR required (eClinical Works preferred)
- 2-3 years’ experience with clinical applications and interfaces required
- Proficiency in MS office applications; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams
- Experience with clinical application implementation and/or support
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to organize, plan, and complete projects efficiently and in accordance with quality standards
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong skills in facilitation and presenting to small and large audiences
- Excellent professional judgment and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Flexibility and willingness to work as a team member
- Background in training and project management a plus
