What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Quality Control Technologist - Mammography position at InterMed?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform all Quality Control duties as defined by the American College of Radiology to include organization of all ACR and MQSA accreditations and inspections
- Perform Mammographic exams as indicated
- Obtain appropriate medical history from referring physician and patient
- Request pertinent outside films and reports when indicated for correlation
- Coordinate patients for additional evaluation and/or biopsy
- Provide patient education
- Provide education and training of mammography technologists
- Monitor supplies and order as necessary
- Understand/utilize all electronic and computer systems including basic trouble shooting
- Additional duties as requested by management staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of a recognized AMA School of Radiology
- National Registry including advanced level certification in Mammography
- Five years of specific mammography experience
- State license required
- Current experience in all areas of routine and diagnostic mammography
- Clinical competence in the delivery of care for selected patient populations
- Must be familiar with current regulations
- Excellent customer services are required
- Ability to use independent judgment and pay attention to detail
- Professional growth and development; assume individual accountability for adherence to work requirements
- Ability to interact well with Radiologist(s), mid-level providers, patients, patient family members, and co-workers
