What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytics Manager position at Intermedia Advertising?
Overview of Job Function :
The Analytics Manager’s focus will be on the agency’s largest clients - establishing both executive and analyst-level media performance reporting / dashboards, advising the client on media decisions, and performing various analyses including media mix optimization, incrementality testing, creative fatigue, etc. The incumbent will lead the agency’s day-to-day analytics relationship with these clients and once analytic efficiencies are achieved, the role may then expand to address additional clients and agency capabilities.
Primary analyses will focus on television and digital media performance, with the goal of empowering the client and InterMedia team members to make optimal media decisions.
The Analytics Manager will communicate independently with the client and will document requests, project requirements and feedback to share with the internal InterMedia team.
Initial projects will be completed with the guidance of the VP Analytics & Innovation, with the expectation of independent project fulfillment after new employee onboarding is complete.
Responsibilities :
- Proactively inform media decisions through ongoing, comprehensive analysis of client media performance.
- Identify opportunities for new or enhanced analyses to empower both internal and client-side media decisions.
- Produce actionable insights on media performance and provide accompanying recommendations for media optimization and planning.
- Coach internal team members on analytic and presentation skill development, and eventually mentor direct reports as the team scales in size.
- Guide developers and data analysts on troubleshooting and / or enhancements of analytic outputs and client data flows.
- Create and improve / evolve client dashboards and reporting, and proactively advise clients on observations and recommendations enabled by these resources.
- Fulfill various internal and client requests (both scheduled and ad hoc) using proprietary datasets and analytic tools.
- Explore, recommend and act on opportunities to enhance analyses and presentations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance legacy models, quality control and reporting processes.
- Exhibit solution-seeking behavior to maximize each client’s return on advertising spend.
- Manage large datasets, cloud data lakes, and data visualization tools.
- Apply proficiency with SQL and analytic programming languages such as R or Python, with knowledge of relational database design and data models.
