Intermountain Claims, Inc., a premier regional third-party administrator, is seeking a full-time Claims Assistant in our Missoula, Montana office. Intermountain Claims has been in business for over 40 years and has realized significant growth throughout our history. This is an entry level Claims Assistant position and an excellent career opportunity. Intermountain Claims offers numerous learning and professional development opportunities.

Primary Job Duties:

  • File Setup/Data Entry
  • Efficiently copy, print, and/or scan files and sort chronologically
  • Prepare and process time sensitive forms and form letters
  • Assist in processing reports to clients
  • Maintain closed claim inventory and storage
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ongoing contact with clients and vendors
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a team player and able to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to manage communications involving sensitive & confidential matters requiring professionalism, tact, and discretion.
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Internet search engines, and Web based applications.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organization skills and the ability to demonstrate fiduciary responsibility and high ethical standards.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, while prioritizing work and maintaining an accurate, timely and professional work product. Must be able to meet critical deadlines.
  • It is important that applicant have exceptional telephone, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Available to work 5 days per week: 40 hours a week for full-time position.

A successful candidate will possess:

  • An eagerness to learn and ask questions.
  • Ability to learn internal claim software programs.
  • Desire to provide excellent customer service to external & internal customers.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team setting and with people from varied backgrounds.
