Agronomy Truck Driver

Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is a regional farm supply co-op with diverse operations including feed production, agronomy services, and retail stores throughout the intermountain west. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Agronomy Truck Driver at the IFA Country Store in Price, Utah.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pesticide/Fertilizer Applicator

• Loading and mixing fertilizer and pesticide formulas.
• Ability to follow and interpret fertilizer and pesticide labels.
• Performing all applications in a timely manner and on schedule.
• Maintaining application logs and other records as necessary.
• Reading field maps and global positioning devices.
• Working around and handling hazardous materials properly.
• Performing daily inspection of equipment and minor repairs as needed.
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed during the busy season will frequently include 12-14 hour shifts during the springtime rush.

Warehouse

• Lifting and hauling 50 lbs. repeatedly for load outs from the warehouse
• Safely operate a forklift and skidsteer in all weather and temperatures

Delivery Driver

• Lifting and hauling 50 lbs. repeatedly for deliveries
• Safely make deliveries in all weather and temperatures

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required. 3 years of applicator experience beneficial but not required. Must have and be able to maintain a current CDL license with the ability to drive applicator and delivery equipment. Current pesticide license required or the ability to obtain if hired. Able to lift 50 lbs. and/or 5 gallon cans of liquid frequently during shift. Able to calculate discounts, percentages, and liquid and solid measurements using basic math skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated. Must be able to work in all weather and temperatures for shift.
