What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Janitor position at Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA)?
Intermountain Farmers Association (IFA) is a regional farm supply co-op with diverse operations including feed production, agronomy services, and retail stores throughout the intermountain west. We are currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of JANITOR/HOUSEKEEPER at the IFA Country Store in Cortez, Colorado.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to perform typical cleaning and housekeeping duties which may include: trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning/sanitizing, floor maintenance, window cleaning, dusting and other cleaning duties as assigned.
- Take initiative to see what needs to be cleaned or organized and work to maintain cleanliness in all areas throughout the store.
- Maintain and store janitorial supplies in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Assist management team and working associates with assigned cleanliness needs and as discovered by you while you go about your daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior janitorial or housekeeping experience with knowledge of cleaning products and their uses required. Must be able to be on your feet throughout your shift. Candidates should have high attention to detail be self-motivated and display a positive attitude in their work. Ability to follow directions provided in written and oral form a necessity. Must be honest, dependable and hard working. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20-30 pounds frequently. Should have reliable transportation.
